Privacy Policy

The short version

• No email or password needed: the app signs you in with an anonymous account.
• Your tasks, focus sessions and settings are stored in the cloud (Google Firebase) so they stay safe and in sync.
• We use analytics and crash reports to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
• We never sell your data and the app shows no ads.

What we store

• Tasks you create: title, category, small first step, time estimate and status
• Planned tasks and their dates
• Focus sessions: start and end time, duration, and distraction notes you choose to add
• Daily statistics (focus minutes, tasks started) and your daily goal
• App settings such as theme, language, sound and reminder preferences

This data is linked to an anonymous account ID created by Firebase Authentication. It is stored with Google Cloud Firestore.

Focus buddy

If you connect with a buddy, they can see the display name you chose (optional), your daily focus minutes, how many tasks you started and whether you reached your shared goal. Invite codes expire after 24 hours. Ending the partnership stops the sharing.

Services we use

• Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google): anonymous sign-in and data storage
• Firebase Analytics (Google): app usage events, such as starting a session or creating a task, plus basic device information
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): crash reports with device model and OS version
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): a device token so we can send the reminders you turned on
• Adapty, Apple App Store and Google Play: subscription purchases and their status. We never see your payment details
• Open-Meteo: to show the local weather. We send approximate coordinates, either from your device if you allow location access, or estimated from your IP address via ip-api.com if you don't

Location

Location is only used to show the weather on the Today screen, at low accuracy. It isn't saved to our database. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings at any time.

Your choices and deleting data

• Turn reminders and notifications on or off in the app's Settings or your device settings
• Delete tasks individually, or use Settings › Clear All Data to remove your tasks, plans and history from our database
• Uninstalling the app removes local data from your device. To delete data stored in the cloud as well, use Clear All Data first, or contact us

Children

Focus Planner is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date above.
